MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University baseball team is set to play an abbreviated fall season beginning Tuesday, Oct. 14 with team practice for the Bobcats.
The Bobcats intra-squad games begin Thursday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. The intra-squad games will continue into November with the last one scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m. The fall intra-squad World Series, dubbed the Steak Series, will begin with game one on Friday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m.
The Steak Series is an opportunity for the Bobcats to gain bragging rights among their teammates in a battle of the blue and green. The teams, picked by upperclassmen, will play a best of five series and the winner of the Steak Series eats steak served by the losing team while the losing team eats hot dogs and hamburgers.
