Bobcat Baseball Climbs in Two National Polls, Stays Put in a Third
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - With a 2-1 record last week, the Georgia College & State University baseball team (26-10, 12-6 PBC) improved their lot in two national polls, and stayed put in a third.
The one where the Bobcats held place is also their highest, as Collegiate Baseball Magazine gave them the No. 8 slot for the second week in a row. Georgia College is one of two Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools in the poll, as USC Aiken jumped in at No. 24.
The largest leap for GCSU came in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Top-25, as Georgia College slid up five spots into the top-10 at No. 10. The Bobcats are the only PBC school in this ranking.
The PING! Baseball Top-30 was also released again this week, and Georgia College improved two slots to No. 19. Georgia College is again the only PBC school to rank in this list.
The Bobcats are back in action tonight, April 10 at 5 p.m. traveling to Columbus State University.
