Bobcat Baseball Reaches Season-High #6 in National Poll
SAVANNAH, Ga. - On the strength of a big week picking up five wins against nationally-ranked competition, the Georgia College & State University baseball team (17-6, 7-2 PBC) has earned its highest national ranking of the season, placing No. 6 on the most recent Collegiate Baseball Magazine Top-30.
The Bobcats are on another great run, beating then-No. 27 Pfeiffer University 8-4 and 10-9 and then sweeping then-No. 7 North Georgia 5-1, 11-6 and 6-2.
Georgia College is tops among the four Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools on the list, joining No. 15 Francis Marion University, No. 18 Lander University and No. 26 North Georgia.
The Bobcats and head coach Tom Carty put their six-game win streak on the line tomorrow, March 18 at 2 p.m. when they travel to the University of West Georgia.
