Baseball Picks Up High Ranks in Three National Polls
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Winners of four of their last five, Georgia College & State University baseball landed high marks on all three of the Division II national ranks, the best finish being a No. 8 slot in the Collegiate Baseball Magazine Top-30.
The Bobcats were No. 8 in the CBM poll, tops among Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools. Three PBC universities appeared in the poll, as Columbus State University was No. 20, with Francis Marion University landing No. 23.
In the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Top-25, the Bobcats moved up one slot to No. 15. Again tops among PBC schools, they were the only conference team in the ranks.
PING! has also added a national top-30, with the Bobcats sliding up five spots to No. 21. Georgia College is again the only conference school in the ranks.
The Bobcats are back in action tomorrow, April 3 at 7 p.m. hosting Francis Marion at John Kurtz Field.
