Prior to GCSU: Played for South Georgia College in Douglas, Ga. under head coach J. Scott Sims ... Named first team All-Conference ... Allen hit .315 as a sophomore, swatting 18 doubles, four triples and four home runs. He drove in 48 and stole 21 bases while posting a .430 on-base percentage with a patient eye, garnering 42 walks. His rookie season was equally impressive, hitting .324 with eight doubles and two home runs, driving in 35.
