GC College Colors Day Switch is Big Success
by Matt Dalby, sports information graduate assistant
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College athletic department was out in full force this year for College Colors Day. Members, coaches and friends met to help turn the Georgia College campus into true Bobcat fans.
Bobcat faithful showed up in bunches to turn in their opposing college T-shirts, hats, sweatshirts and shorts in exchange for a brand-new GC T-shirt.
The event, which also took place last fall, was equally as successful this year generating nearly 200 swaps.
The goal of the event was to create an awareness of the Georgia College brand, in place of many other local colleges and universities. The exchanged shirts will be given to relief efforts in Alabama for this past summer's tornados.
Many Bobcat teams have begun their respective seasons already, but be sure to come out and support all Georgia College sports this Fall.
