Dewald led the Bobcats to the Southeast Regional Championship title tossing two complete games for a combined ERA of 1.50 in his two appearances. In the 4-3 win over Mount Olive College May 13, the righty allowed three hits and one walk, while striking out five batters. Dewald impressed yet again in the championship game May 16, as the ‘Cats squared off against Francis Marion University. The senior was lights-out in the 9-0 contest, giving up just six hits, walking none and fanning eight.
