Bobcat Athletics Presents “Flippin’ Out With Bobcat Basketball”

by Lauren Gilbert, Georgia College public relations class

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.- Georgia College & State University Athletics continues the "Mean In Green" season as the Bobcats take on Georgia Southwestern State University Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 5:30 p.m. at the Centennial Center with the "Flippin' Out With Bobcat Basketball" halftime performances by members of The Elite School of Gymnastics and Dance.

"We enjoy coming to the ballgames because the excitement from the crowd inspires our kids to perform their best and they get to show off some of their hard work," said Coni Adams-Moore, director and owner of The Elite School of Gymnastics and Dance.

The groups represented at the exhibition will be karate students, cheer tumblers, recreational gymnastics students and gymnastics team tumblers. For these halftime performances, two of the gymnastics team tumblers are national champions Christy Karson and Stephanie Azahar.

The Elite School of Gymnastics and Dance offers many programs for local children. The school is going into their 18th year in Milledgeville.

"We began with gymnastics and dance and have since added cheerleading, karate, and fitness programs for kids ages 5-12 that we conduct after school and during summer camp," said Adams-Moore.

"We love partnering with Georgia College in a community effort to support athletics in Milledgeville. Every time we team up with the Bobcats we make new friends for life," said Adams-Moore.
