Former Georgia College Gymnast Publishes Second Book

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Former Georgia College gymnast Linda McDonald has successfully climbed the gymnastics judging ladder to a National Level judge, and now adds her second published book to her resume.
The former Colonial recently penned Stressing in the Stands: A Parent's Guide to Judging Optional Gymnastics Levels 7-10. The text is a follow-up to 2008's Struggling in the Stands: A Parent's Guide to Judging Compulsory Gymnastics.
A 40-year veteran of the gymnastics community as a competitor, coach and judge, McDonald uses the text to help parents of young gymnasts understand the scoring process in competitive gymnastics. She answers questions and dispels fears and myths while paying plenty of respect to what she learned under Georgia College coach Geza Martiny.
McDonald also has her own site at http://www.gymjudgelinda.com/ where parents can ask questions and find more information.
McDonald traveled the summer of 2008 with USA Gymnastics, writing a blog for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The blog in its entirety is also available on her web site.
