MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - With snowflakes falling over Middle Georgia this afternoon into evening, the Georgia College & State University Department of Athletics announces an update to this weekend's sports schedule.
The Georgia College baseball teams were set to play a weekend tournament in Greenwood, S.C. at Lander University. The schedule has been shoved back one day, and now will begin with the Bobcats facing conference opponent No. 8 Francis Marion University in a non-conference battle Saturday, Feb. 13 at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14 the Bobcats take on No. 21 Lincoln Memorial University at 1 p.m. and then face Barry University Monday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. in a non-conference game.
The Georgia College basketball teams are set to battle USC Aiken in a doubleheader at the Centennial Center Saturday, Feb. 13 at 1:30 p.m. As of 4:30 p.m. today, the games are still set for Saturday. The No. 3 Bobcat men's golf team is still set to start its season at the annual Matlock Invitational, hosted by Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fla. Monday, Feb. 15.
