TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its most recent round of regional rankings, with Georgia College Men’s and Women’s Tennis each taking No. 5 in the Southeast Region.
The Bobcat men are fifth, with four Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools listed ahead, as Columbus State University owns the top slot. Lander University is second, with Flagler College at No. 3 and the University of North Georgia at No. 4. Of the top-10, seven came from the PBC.
It’s all PBC ahead of the Bobcat Women as well, with CSU again taking the top slot. Flagler is second, with No. 3 going to Francis Marion University and UNG in fourth. Six of the top-10 on the women’s side hail from the PBC.
GC Men’s Tennis gets the 2018 season underway Friday, Feb. 2 at noon, playing host to Morehouse College in non-conference action. The Bobcat Women start play a day later, traveling to Brenau University for a 2 p.m. start.
