GC Women’s Cross Country Takes Team GPA Award for 2013-14

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – For the second-straight season, the Georgia College women’s cross country team takes team GPA honors in the Bobcat Athletic Department, edging out Bobcat softball for this year’s top team GPA. The GC women harriers posted a 3.51 GPA combined for the two semesters, leading 10 of the Bobcat varsity sports with over a 3.0.

Women’s cross country led after the fall semester at 3.54, continuing with a strong 3.48 in the spring. Softball was a close second at 3.42. Women’s basketball came in third, just .04 behind at 3.38.

In fourth was GC Women’s Soccer, owning a 3.34 GPA, followed by women’s tennis at 3.26. Bobcat men’s tennis was the top men’s program for Georgia College in sixth overall at 3.24, edging GC Men’s Cross Country at 3.23.

Rounding out the programs above a 3.0 were volleyball at 3.19, baseball at 3.05 and golf at 3.00. The athletic department as a whole posted a 3.22 GPA for the year, once again out-performing the remainder of the student body during the 2013-14 school year. The Bobcats were balanced, with a 3.21 in the spring and a 3.20 in the fall.
