MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The NCAA released its second round of Division II Tennis Region Rankings this week, with the Georgia College men’s (17-4) and women’s (14-9) tennis teams ranked top five in the Southeast, landing the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, respectively.

In the men’s division, Armstrong takes the No. 1 spot while Lander University and Columbus State University narrowly edge out Georgia College for the second and third place ranks.

Armstrong, Columbus State, and Francis Marion University solidify their Nos. 1, 2 and 3 rankings with records exceeding 17 overall wins, while Clayton State secures the No. 4 spot. Georgia College lands the No. 5 position.

These rankings are used to determine the at-large bids to the NCAA Region Tournaments in late April.

The Georgia College men’s and women’s team start the postseason Friday, April 12 at the Peach Belt (PBC) Quarterfinals. The men’s team will face Augusta State University at 11 a.m. while the women’s team will play at 8 a.m. against Clayton State University.
