MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – With a few home dates under their belts this season, the Georgia College basketball teams have been able to showcase a new look to the Centennial Center hardwood, as Georgia College athletics recently completed a repaint of the main floor.
The new paint job prominently features the school’s new spirit logos, and is just the third design since Georgia College joined the NCAA Division II in 1990-91.
“The new floor design helps create a more inviting atmosphere for Bobcat fans and visitors,” said Wendell Staton, Director of Athletics. “A redesign was well over due, and we’ve already received numerous compliments on the results. We look forward to this surface continuing to be the showcase for our basketball teams, and our upcoming inaugural season of volleyball in fall 2013.”
The redesign utilizes more of the natural wood color, brightening the look of the court overall, and helping the Bobcat blue and green pop with more prominence. The court also now prominently features the new GC icon spirit logo, furthering the department’s branding initiatives.
