Second Annual T-Shirt Upgrade Kicks Off College Colors Day

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Georgia College athletics will hold its second annual T-Shirt Upgrade Thursday, Sept. 1 from 10 a.m. to noon in conjunction with the NCAA’s spirit initiative “College Colors Day” Friday, Sept. 2.

The day gives Bobcat fans, friends, faculty, staff, students and alumni the chance to display their colors proudly. One day prior, Bobcat Athletics will host a T-shirt exchange, giving fans the free chance to get some new gear.

While supplies last from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 1, GC Athletics will give Bobcat fans a brand-new GC spirit logo T-shirt in exchange for a shirt from any other college or university.

The “other college” shirt can be in any condition, and Bobcat fans will receive a brand-new GC shirt. Look for the logoed tent by the main campus fountain area to swap out your shirt. The shirts will also be on sale for $10 during that time.

“We’ll take any shirt you have,” said Al Weston, sports information director for GC. “The one you work out in, the torn-up one with mud or paint stains all over it… just bring it to the fountain for a brand-new Bobcat Athletics shirt.”

The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 10 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
