MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The final grades are in, and the Georgia College women’s tennis team took top honors in the department with the best team grade point average for the 2011-12 school year.
GC women’s tennis posted an impressive 3.44 GPA to lead the way among the 10 Bobcat varsity sports teams. Softball and women’s basketball tied for second with a 3.20.
The overall Athletic Department GPA for 2011-12 came in just under a 3.0 at 2.90. Six of GC’s 10 sports put up a GPA over 3.0 this season, including soccer (3.19), women’s cross country (3.16) and men’s cross country (3.12).
