Men and Women Sit at Sixth in NCAA Region Poll

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Georgia College men’s and women’s tennis teams are both ranked at the No. 6 spot in the most recent Southeast Regional Poll as announced by the NCAA.

The Bobcat men current sit at 14-6 overall and 4-4 in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC). The men are playing exceptionally well winning five out of their last six matches. The women are currently placed sixth in the PBC with a 15-7 overall record and a 7-4 PBC record.

The men’s team sits behind the No. 1 Armstrong Atlantic Pirates. Lander University is No. 2 followed by Flagler College at three. Columbus State and Francis Marion sit at four and five, respectively. On the women’s side the No. 1 team is also Armstrong Atlantic and the No. 2 is Columbus State. Flagler is ranked at three, Clayton State is at four and Francis Marion is ranked fifth.

Up next, the Bobcats will play in the PBC Tournament, slated for April 15-17 at the Newman Tennis Center in Augusta, Ga., hosted by Augusta State.
