    Golfer Harry Lambert Named Bobcat Athlete of the Week MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Harry Lambert (Suwannee) of the Georgia College Golf team has been named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for his performance during the week ending March 26th. Lambert is the first Georgia College golfer to receive this honor for the spring season.

    GC Golf Earns Top-Five Finish at Bearcat Classic GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Georgia College Golf program kept their second round status to finish the Bearcat Classic in third place, 12 strokes behind the victorious Lander University Bearcats. The Bobcats competed in an 18 team field and recorded a final overall score of 19-over par at the par-72 6800-yard Greenwood Country Club.

    Bobcat Softball Swept by Young Harris, 11-7 and 9-5 MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Softball team (24-14, 10-4 PBC) dropped two high-scoring games to Young Harris College (29-7, 9-5 PBC) Sunday at the Peeler Complex. The Bobcats were within striking distance in both games, falling 11-7 and 9-5.

    GC Baseball Takes Series Over Young Harris with Two Saturday Wins YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The Georgia College Baseball team (19-8, 7-5 PBC) took both games of the Saturday doubleheader on the road against Young Harris College (10-17, 4-8 PBC) with a huge comeback win in game one 14-13, followed by a 16-7 blowout in game two. The Bobcats have now won three of their four Peach Belt Conference (PBC) series this season.

    GC Softball Plays Giant-Killer in Sweep of #2 North Georgia, 5-4 and 7-3 MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Softball team (24-12, 10-2 PBC) completed a feat Friday they haven’t done since 2007, sweeping a doubleheader from No. 2 University of North Georgia (27-9, 7-4 PBC). The Bobcats beat the Nighthawks by 5-4 and 7-3 scores.

    #14 GC Men’s Tennis Downed by #4 Armstrong State, 7-2 MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – No. 14 Georgia College Men’s Tennis (8-6, 3-3 PBC) was able to notch out two match wins against No. 4 Armstrong State University (11-4, 6-0 PBC) in Friday’s 7-2 loss. Kyle Kinsler (Suwanee) got his second win this year in the fifth spot as Pedro Ecenarro (Santiago de Compostela, Spain) snagged yet another strong victory in the second flight against a nationally-ranked opponent.

    GC Baseball Falls to Young Harris on the Road, 6-5 YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The Georgia College Baseball team (17-8, 5-5 PBC) lost a heartbreaker on the road against Young Harris College (10-15, 4-6 PBC) Friday evening after a walk-off home run from Mountain Lion designated hitter Brett Westmoreland. The Bobcats held a 5-1 lead in the seventh inning, but three late Mountain Lion home runs surged them to victory, 6-5.
