Title: Associate Athletic Director
Phone: (478) 445-2082

Jimmy Wilson has been the golf coach at Georgia College since 1997, and is coming off the best season in program history in 2008. The Bobcats won the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship and took fourth at the NCAA Division II Championship, the highest-ever national finish for a GCSU golf squad. Wilson was honored with plenty of hardware for his work last year, nabbing both the Southeast Region and Peach Belt Conference Coach of the Year honors.

Wilson has guided the Bobcats to 11 straight NCAA Tournament appearances (1998-2008). His teams reached the national championship round of the NCAA Tournament in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008. Wilson guided the Bobcats to the 2000 Peach Belt Conference Championship, and he was named the league's Coach of the Year that season.

The Bobcats finished fifth at the NCAA National Tournament in 1998, 10th in 2000, tied for fifth in 2001, 10th in 2004, 15th in 2005, sixth in 2007 and fourth in 2008. Wilson has coached 16 All-Americans in his tenure with the Bobcats.

Wilson graduated from GCSU in 1986 and served as the Director of Golf at the Little Fishing Creek Golf Course in Milledgeville from 1988 to April 2007.

Wilson joined the athletic department as full-time staff in April 2007, adding associate athletics director duties in addition to his coaching role. He handles finances and community relations for the Bobcat athletic department.

Wilson and his wife, Colleen, have three children: Drew, Matt and Sarah. The Wilsons live in Milledgeville.
